Context:
My bike got stolen from my house in 2019.
Yesterday, on a whim I decided to Google second hand websites to look for it again, and I'm pretty sure I found it, with some modifications made

First three photo's are my bike, taken in 2019. It is a 2009 WTP Recon complete bike. The others are the bike I think is my stolen bike.

Seller claims it's a WTP Reason 2021 original colour matt candy grey, with all original parts and repainted.

I hope all the pictures are clear enough.

I would like to ask your opinions on this.
Thank you very much,
Kind regards from Belgium.

  1. Well it looks like the same model. However unless you’ve got copies of the serials codes on it, almost impossible to proof ownership….

  2. Probably not the same bike. Plenty of completed are out there and imo there is too much different between the the two like the brake cable and pedals for starters

  3. Sure looks like it. Different pedals, and a sticker peel- pretty common with thieves. HOWEVER as has already been said, there’s no way to prove it without a serial
[https://digbmx.com/dig-this/productivity-wethepeople-2021-complete-bikes](https://digbmx.com/dig-this/productivity-wethepeople-2021-complete-bikes) ETA This. Scroll down and it’s got all the 2021 WTP bikes. The Reason didn’t come in Matte Gray unless my eyes are bad. Would be awful suspect to have it kitted EXACTLY like yours save for the changed cable and pedals as a coincidence.

  4. If you have the Serial Numbers from your bike you can match it up. Did you report your bike stolen to the cops?

  5. The pegs and handlebar position certainly look like something a bike thief would do, certainly not the way that someone who would buy a $1,200 WTP Reason would set it up.
