Well how wrong I was, coming from a MTB background I bought myself a flat bar gravel bike.
I really loved riding the flat bar and I never thought I’d get a drop bar. A week ago I bought a second hand 2016 Specialized diverge e5 and I’m converted. I upgraded the tyres and converted to tubeless, put a nice set of carbon cranks and installed a carbon seatpost and wow so much faster, easier to accelerate and surprisingly comfortable ride. I think I’ll upgrade the bars to some carbon gravel specific bars and that will be it.
