They always seem to get stuff like this juuuussst wrong enough. Saying Hipster, they’re probably still thinking that people have sold their fixies to buy these

Felt like three years late to the party …. And the presenter hugged a weird line of constantly mocking the bike / restomod and actually giving it compliments (components still work well 30 years later , paint is sick, etc)

To answer their question, yes. Anyone can make a “Hipster Town Bike” from whatever they can score on Craigslist. We expect more, tell me how I can fit 21st century tech onto a frame build with 20th century standards. Anyone can install fenders and tires, I want functionality beyond the original manufacturers wildest dreams. Oh wait, it’s gotta look good too, gumwall tires alone are not enough.

The worst offense on this bike is actually the saddle. It’s gonna be horribly uncomfortable with that geometry!

  5. I don’t see much wrong with that besides the frame being two sizes too small for the rider lol.

I’m still mad about them destroying the paint job from a late 90’s/early 2k Trek with a USPS/Lance Armstrong color way to make it Celeste blue.
