I'm looking for a gravel bike that can also double as a commuter to and from work. I'll be doing a 4 day bike packing trip in April on the Katy trail which is a flat and smooth gravel trail. these two bikes are the options in my price range at my local bike shops. I really just want to get the best bang for my buck on the bike. The other thing I want to consider is the bike geometry, I'd like a more upright riding position for my long trip.
Please provide me with your expert opinions because I don't know a lot about bikes and both bike shops will say that theirs is the best option.
