It's a crappy Mongoose Malus but my other mountain bikes are tubeless so I thought converting it would be a good idea. Using the Fatty Stripper kit, all seemed to be going well until I couldn't get the tire to seat. Overinflate it, right? Until it pops, except it never popped. Until it exploded! Time for some new tires and maybe some nice tubes with sealant in them. Ive tried numerous times, maybe it's me or maybe it's the rims.

That’s a wire bead tire. It pretty much won’t work right tubeless because the bead is so stiff it can’t confirm nicely to the rim to make a good seal.
Hope you weren’t hurt. Tires, especially fat tires, blowing off the rim release a lot of energy. I hope your rim is not damaged.
