September 8, 2025 — Begin Again Video Journal No. 31
In this entry, I stop for coffee at a small bakery not far from Charles de Gaulle Airport, still thinking I’ll skirt Paris on the east side and wild camp by nightfall. I don’t yet realize that the day will lead me instead to Fontainebleau Hostel & Camping — and to one of the best surprises of the tour so far. By evening I’ve found a hostel so welcoming and comfortable (camping under apple trees) that I decide to stay three nights. When I find a treasure like that on the road, I hold onto it for a while.
