Collectible bikes are worth what a collector wants to pay. Women’s bikes are generally worth less than the same model in men’s. Prices vary by local market. In my market that bike would be worth somewhere between $25 and $75.
From the serial number I looks like it was produced in the Miyata plant, the second or third week of October 1985.
Edit: Univega contracted production to several manufacturers. Including Dodson (serial numbers start with DSB or DS), Giant (serial numbers start with G), Merida (serial number starts with M followed by a numeric character, followed by an alpha character) and Miyata serial numbers up to 1984 start with a single letter for the year L=83 M=84 followed by a production number. In 1985 they went to alpha = year, followed by alpha that stands for the fortnight … N 1985 and U 41-42 week of the year.
It’s a nice midlevel bike, at the low end of their sporrt-touring range. Looks to be in great shape. I’d tilt those handlebars down a little though. You got it for a good price (in my market–which is expensive–that would easily be $200). It’s not collectible, but it IS a very practical bike for all your going-around-town, living you life, errands and commuting type stuff, especially if you put a rack and/or basket on it.
