There aren’t many steeper and more brutal climbs in Derbyshire that Riber in Matlock. Multiple brutally steep bends make Riber a serious challenge of endurance and will power to get up it.

Hey from Amber Valley, Derbyshire. New Subscriber here.
I stick to rivers and canal towpaths 99% of the time.
I'm knackered just watching you. Well done mate.
Another interesting film of hill climbing. I notice you come to North Wales a lot. I have a suggestion for you. If you take the train to Wrexham and then change trains for Caergwrle or Hope. The two stations are close together and both make a good starting point. Near either (to the west) there is a hill called Hope Mountain. Check the map and strava routes out on this. There are roughly eight monster approaches to the top of this hill. I'd like to see you tackle as many as you can in one ride on this hill. You can easily top 1000meters if you devise a route up and down it. It's the area with Waun y Llyn Country Park on top and bounded by Llanfynydd and Pontybodkin if it interests you.
Brutal climb. Just like our challenge of stopping Arsenal scoring from a corner today. 🤍🩵💛
