Cheap bike used for cruising to beach. I would like to put on hand brakes with riding around car traffic though. Any way this is possible? Never worked on a bicycle so anything helps. Thanks!

It looks like it brakes when you peddle backwards. (Assuming you’re asking because you expect it to have no brakes since you see no levers)
Adding hand brakes is not going to be easy or cheaply done.
Nothing that will be good.
Looks like there are places for it where the fenders are bolted in. You might need to take the fenders off but from the picture it looks like you could.
