How can I get this through axel out, its a 6mm and pretty much stripped. Should I just take it to the shop? Im planning on buying a new through axel anyways but I need to get this one out.
you should be able to stick a 6mm hex in the other side and spin it the opposite way.

Force a slightly larger one in there โ gently tap it in with a hammer if you have to. Use one that you donโt mind throwing away if it gets stuck. Then unscrew it.

Find a torx bit that almost fits and tap it in gently with a hammer.

A 1/4 inch allen wrench is only 0.35mm larger or roughly 0.014 inches. Try pounding it in with a bfh.

I did this a few months ago. I got an extractor set from harbor freight and it came out easily.

My axles have hex on both ends in case the primary side strips. Have you checked yours?

try screw extractor first. Else saw a slot to make it like a flat head screw, open with flat head screwdriver.
