Hi Guys,
Hope someone can help me? My ironman is in 5 months and i keep getting trouble with my bike.
My seat post is broken i quess. I buyed the bike from markedplace and after a couple of rides my saddle started to become crooked. When i looked at the seat post i find out it was broken. Do i have to buy a new seat post or can i fixed this problem? Iam riding a planet x exocet 2.
Ps. When i searched for seat post only i didnt find a single one. Are those planet x so rare to find?

New seatpost. Go through planet x, that seatpost will be proprietary.
Definitely needs to be replaced. You should try contacting Planet X directly and ask if they have them available.
If you need the saddle further forward then yes.
Most tri geeks like a very forward position.
But if the rear position is acceptable then you can run it as is.
Not sure what a post cost but some saddles give a more forward position from the rail placement. That might be a cheaper option
I shake my head at all the idiotic ways that manufacturers have screwed up seatposts. Everything from masts, aero and D-shapes to the frustrating circle-clamps seen here.
It’s as if they hadn’t come up with a perfectly reliable standard a half century ago.
I would reach out to planet X and see if you can get a replacement. If not, they may at least give you the MFG that they bought it from- most PX frames are relabeled open mold frames like Deng Fu or Hong Fu.
The being said, those seatposts were neat because they had two totally different mounting positions. You can run it in the rearward, non-broken position without issues, as far as i know. It looks like you are already doing that in the second photo, but if you’re comfortable then there’s no reason to buy a new one other than looks.
