I recently bought a Canyon Aeroad CFR and plan to fly with it using an EVOC Bike Travel Bag Pro (the older, non-road-specific version).

Because of the integrated cockpit, I’ve removed the drops from the bars and packed it as shown in the photo. With the drops removed, the bar width is basically the same as the internal width of the bag. There isn’t a ton of side padding at the bar ends, though I could add some foam or bubble wrap between the inside of the bag and the bar endpoints where the brake hoses exit.

Is this a bad idea / unnecessarily risky? Curious if anyone has packed an integrated cockpit this way and flown without issues.

I’ll probably be traveling with this bike 2-3 times a year. If this setup is genuinely sketchy long-term, I’d rather know now and consider a different bag.
