Attempting to get an old Koga Miyata touring frame to work with a 10 speed Ultegra rear derailleur and Deore 10 speed cassette. Think I need to fit an extender to ensure it can reach the big gear (36T). However the Sunrace extender doesn't appear to line up with the hanger on the frame. Do I need something more specific?

Those sunrace ones often don’t line up. Try a wolftooth roadlink
How doesn’t it line up? I’ve used similar cheap extenders on a few different frames with no issues, including an old touring bike.
