My 4iii power meter displayed incorrect readings last month, but my computer indicated it was still connected. I removed the battery and replaced it because a spot was slightly corroded. It was working great for a few weeks, but on my ride today, it all of a sudden wasnt reading correctly and then disconnected. I checked the battery, and it's totally corroded again. Any insight into why this keeps happening? I haven't ridden in any rainy conditions at all, and my bike is stored indoors. The bike itself is less than 5 months old.

From the the 4iiii website: “We recommend avoiding CR2032 batteries with a bitter coating for your 4iiii products. These batteries can cause connection issues.”

This might be the problem? I found it a bit harder to track down “plain” CR2032 batteries, but some hardware stores should have them.

Try not to touch the battery when installing them, oils on your hand can speed up corrosion. Also you can use a thin layer of silicone grease to prevent corrosion, I do that with my garmin hr strap connections and battery and it works great. It could also be the bitter coating as the other comment pointed out. That can be removed with by wiping with some water or alcohol.
