Bike won’t shift up shop couldn’t figure it out hoping I don’t have to replace and install the whole thing. I don’t think stuff like this happened. Anybody else break a shifter?

Probably best to replace the hood. Something small broke and they dont sell repair kits, that I know of.
I crashed and broke a shifter in half (brake lever and shifting mechanism broke off) once, it happens. Your picture is too blurry to tell what’s going on, but if you’re lucky you might get away with bending the shift levers back in place if they’re just caught on each other. But if that’s not it you’ll need to replace the whole brifter.
These shifters are pretty fragile, I’ve had two break in falls over the past eight years, I’d never broken older Shimano or campy levers in similar falls.
If you roll the hoods forward from the back check for cracks in the plastic body. If it’s broken you need a whole new level sadly
