Hello all,
Last summer I bought a second hand Addict 30 2020 in a very good condition, like new.
Recently I replaced the bottom bracket with a DA one.
When I took out the old one, close to the BB shell, I noticed in the downtube an indent line like a seam which is like ~4cm long(less than 2 inches) as shown in the pictures.
It is deep, Its not like a scratch or crack, it's looks like it's from the molding process but don't know if that should had be warrantied or not.
Any ideas? is it ok? Is this normal?
Any opinions?

It’s fine
Very normal. In composites manufacturing, you generally have an “A” side and a “B” side. The “A” side is pressed into the mold, and is generally sanded and coated to a smooth finish. The “B” side is pressed into by the vacuum or pressure bag, and often has cosmetic defects that are ignored if they have no functional impact. The inside of a bicycle frame is the “B” side.
In short, it’s just a little ridge of extra resin; a purely cosmetic defect that harms nothing. Even companies with good QC have no real impetus to spend the time/money/energy to remove it.
Inside surface of a bike is molded by a vacuum bag and can have ridges or wrinkles caused by the bag. Not an issue, not even cosmetically as it’s the interior finish.
