Hey guys
Just picked up this 2017 volume vessel v2 frame
Brand new, just old stock at my lbs
When installing the bottom bracket bearings, they are a tight fit like usual, after about halfway they just plop in
With the cranks installed they have a very slight wobble
I’m guessing the bottom bracket hole is slightly too large?
Cranks are kink pillars
Flybikes 22mm bottom bracket
Anyway to fix this or is the frame toast?

check if the frame isnt cracked where the bearing sits if its not then its a bad frame and theres no fix for it unless you know a cnc machinist who owes you a fat favour
Are you running the tube spacer? There has been on various frames batch issues where the bb is off by the tiniest amount, 1/1000″ and so one way is to not use the tube spacer to get the bearings to sit as deep as they can in the shell, use some bearing fixative to hold the, and then ensure it’s all tightened down solidly with both arms having enough gap on the axle to actually pally clamping force. Bearings generally should all be absolutely accurately machined, but just in case try another set of bearings. Of none of this works, the yeah because the tolerance is very tight it’s then not an easy fix, as the packing gap is less than paper thin.
