I bought a Brompton a few months ago and it’s been great. One annoying thing is that it’s been unfolding recently when carrying it. The issue seems to be that the hook isn’t really hooking all the way down properly when folded – see picture for what the hook position looks like when fully folded. I’m not sure if it’s damaged in some way or if it was never hooking properly. Has anyone else had this issue? The saddle is full down and locked so I don’t think this is related to that and it seems to be a hook issue

Are you missing the rear seat post stop?

There should be a plastic mushroom connected to rear brake bolt – might need to adjust it so it’s very close to touching the seat post while the bike is folded. It should be close enough so that the flare/bung at the bottom of the seat post just barely clears the mushroom while as you lower the seat all the way down. As the last step in the fold process, that’s what ‘locks’ the fold and prevents the fork hook from slipping off the chain stay.
Or the rear post stop needs winding out to press against the post.
u need to adjust the seatpost stopper aka Thor Hammer. it is attached to the rear brake bolt as a unibody.
