I was skeptical if swapping my old alloy wheels for wider carbon ones (27mm internal) would actually make a difference, but the ride feel is surprisingly better. The tires sit much wider now.

Yeah, a modern carbon wheelset added to my Fairlight Secan made it feel a bit different for the better. The simplicity of no tubeless tape alone was a huge improvement.
Even if I am not faster or anything like that, I like the result.
Your frame color is fantastic.
All the steel bros hate on carbon until they replace every component aside from their frame with carbon lol.
If given the choice between steel frame carbon wheels, or carbon frame, and alloy wheels, I think I would take the carbon wheels TBH.
