Hey Reddit, this is my first post here! Recently, I went bikepacking with my 2017 CAADX, and I had an amazing time. It really made me want to go farther and stay out longer on my next trip.
Because of that, I’m thinking about installing a rear rack on my CAADX. The problem is that the CAADX doesn’t have rack mounts… However, I’ve seen several photos online of CAADX bikes with rear racks installed.
Does anyone here have advice on how to make this work? Any specific rack models that fit, or personal experiences you could share would be really helpful.

Ortlieb quickrack worked great for me last summer. You can buy adapters so you don’t need any mounts on the frame. (Be careful with the install if you don’t want to scratch the paint)
When there are no mounts on the frame, you can install most racks either via P/hose clamps or skewer mount, and you can secure the upper portion using a seat clamp mount.
