After experience some serious reliability and teething issues with the dyname 4.0 immediately after purchase two years ago, my motor was changed out and it has been running flawlessly since. Just hit the 1300km on the odometer.
The only gripe I have is the higher friction and pedal effort in cold weather after wax immersing my chain with Silca secret wax. Does anyone know if the Silca drop helps free the rollers up a bit in the cold? -15C and below is a struggle.

I use the same wax and no. Nothing really helps I those temps. I just live with it.
I’m not familiar with e-bike applications, but are you measuring the temp of your wax when you hot dip? I use MSpeedwax for my different bikes and have learned that you gotta get it to a nice 200F (93.3C) to be done correctly. Any hotter for too long and the wax burns up, any cooler and the wax goes on too thick. Silca may be different but just wanted to offer my experience with wax.
