I really want to throw some big meats on this bike, it’s got giant crosscut at2’s 38c and I love them because they’re super soft and grippy but need some more cushion. I don’t know a whole lot about these bikes and tires yet but have come down to either WTB nano 700×52 OR schwalbe g-one rx pro 700×50. Are there other options I should also be looking at? I need something that will hook up nice on loose dirt and not slip out too much on hill climbs

Clearly you didn’t get the memo:

Pick a tread pattern that fits your use case. Go on bicycle rolling resistance . Com and find the nicest tires in your budget that roll fast and have the tread pattern you want. Check the puncture protection scores if you’re worried about punctures. Otherwise check the tires brands and cross reference to bicycle rolling resistance.
What I love on my Revolt is Schwalbe Thunderburt 2.1 (53mm). Damn fast and cool looking tire.
Schwalbe makes the best offroad tires, period. Unfortunately not the most comfortable, they are purely performance based.
If you really care about cushion, look at tpi numbers. 120+ tpi tires with a soft sidewall will be super comfortable.
