  1. If your lockring is tight and you’re not missing a spacer or something then no – it’s just the tolerance between the splines and the cassette.

    Doesn’t really matter though.

  2. A few solutions. I’d pull the cassette off and make sure all is well. Check spacers and lockring like others have said also.

  3. Either the cassette lockring below the smallest 10t cog is loose or there is a spacer missing in between the cassette. if it just started doing that its probably just the lockring. if you freshly installed it its probably a missing part of the cassette

  4. Did you recently change wheels?? This happened to me recently, it turned out I was missing a spacer which i had left on my old wheel when I changed over the cassette. There maybe a spacer between the largest cog and the hub that is missing.

    Make sure the smallest cog is properly aligned relative to the small spline on the freehub body, or it won’t be seated well enough to hold the other cogs in place.
