I bought a Peugeot Riviera bike secondhand but am now wondering whether it is too small. I can’t tell if it’s just the difference in style of bike or if it’s just the wrong size. For reference I am 174cm and the frame size is 54cm.

Bike isn’t too small. Rider looks too big though.
A little bit but could maybe raise the seat and set it back to help. Fine to get around town and you don’t have to worry about the top tube height .
Is it fun to ride and you’re not feeling pain? You can always get a longer stem.

That style of bike doesn’t really fit an athletic rider. If it feels too small to you, see if you can test ride a road bike.
