Adding a few more bits and what not since last posting. I think I’ve thrown more money into it than what I paid originally.
• Rebuilt the bottom bracket
• Rebuilt the headset
• Treated internally with Frame Saver
• New bar tape
• New brake cables and housing
• New tires and tubes
• Suntour Superbe brake levers
• Period correct(ish) Avocet Touring II saddle
• Nitto stem and Nitto Raundoneur Bars
• Replaced the toe straps and reinstalled the original Superbe pedals
The only thing really bugging me now are the wheels – I need to find som nicer wheels with Superbe hubs and Superbe freewheel. The bars are a tad narrow and should have went up a size but oh well.
Would you build this up differently?
