Just finished up my winter project, a (86-87?) Bianchi Super Grizzly. Swapped the front fork from a 1984 Grizzly because of the abomination that it came with. Built it up with a mish-mash of new, parts bin, and used parts that I thought were cool. At some point I might swap the rear derailleur for something all silver to match a little better, but I don't hate it as-is. The rear clearance was super tight so I had an unplanned first experience with dimpling chainstays, which was interesting… It's definitely not anything close to a period correct build but I had fun with it!

Wow I was loving scrolling through your pics! I really enjoyed your build and then I got to the last picture and I almost dropped my phone. Well done, you transformed the bike in a beautiful way.

Absolutely beautiful! Makes me want to drag out my neglected 84 Griz (original) and give it some love

Man, I’ve seen or owned a couple of these but wow, this some bespoke artwork. Nice job!

  5. Very nice I have a 90’s made in japan Bianchi Back Street the looks identical has the original slopped fork though.

  6. Love the older crowned forks. My bianchi osprey has a lugged frame but the fork is welded unicrown, ugh.
