  1. The fork and shock will need to be stripped down and serviced. Those old Pikes weren’t the best sealed forks, pretty easy to do as long as you can get the new seals. (All the service guides are available online from SRAM).
    – And those Hayes Nines were strong (for the time) but quite temperamental brakes. I’d be surprised if you don’t end up replacing them with some cheap Shimano or Tektro brakes.
    – Shifters should be available pretty cheap secondhand though.

    Probably worth it for £60 but they weren’t great bikes back then. Probably £125-150 in total if you do all the work yourself. A fair price to get out riding, but not a collectors item.
