
Today I had my first gravel ride of the year. I don't have anything specific in mind, but the idea is to gradually improve so I can do some 2-3 day rides and maybe even participate in an ultra-distance event.
Most of my training rides will be in the early morning until the weather changes and it gets light earlier. I come from trail running, so I have a good aerobic and strength base; I just need to work on my technique and get more time on the bike. Today was a short introductory ride: 20 km in 58 minutes with practically no elevation gain (300 meters). I'll be using Reddit as my progress journal, and any suggestions are welcome.
