Hi everyone,

I’ve had a hard time finding a new helmet that fits me, I’ve had a Kask Protone for around 10 years and I came to the realisation that is far too long for a helmet and it’s covered in dents scratches etc so I’ve been on the hunt for a new one.

I’ve tried nearly every brand (so I’m not purchasing an identical helmet to my Kask) and nothing fit me like my Kask until I got these 2 Abus helmets, I’m not torn between which one to keep, so I’m hoping you lovely internet people can help. which suits better?

My head is saying the Airbreaker but something about the gamechanger is mega cool, I just don’t know if I can pull it off?

thank you!

They both are great helmets, I have two game changers. I’d say if you race and care about aero benefits I’d go for the gamechanger. I’ve raced mine in 30 degree plus and it’s been fine. But the air breaker definitely breaths better.

Gamechanger looks a bit better IMO (but slightly).

In terms of ventilation on the Airbreaker: I have that one because of the ventilation, but I’m still dripping sweat into my cycling shades – so wouldn’t have made a difference.

Don’t choose Abus if you care for women’s rights. The company is the embodiment of patriarchy.

From my own experience I can recommend Giro helmets or the best aero helmet Specialized S-Works Evade

  4. Im split on this one. I like the lines and ventilation on the second, but its profile seems very high. First one has better profile but I dislike the contour and the back.

As a Giro fan, check out their helmets before pulling the trigger on either of these.
