First Gravel Bike Day

After 8-9 years of exclusively riding mountain bikes. I decided to make the switch over to a gravel bike. Here's my new Giant Revolt Advanced 3.

Making this decision came down to two reasons. First being that my friends and family rarely ever go mountain biking anymore, people get busy. Second being that in my current stage of life, a bicycle would be mainly used for commuting and running errands. A full suspension mountain bike is sometimes too loud to bring into a workplace.

I chose this bike for its geometry which felt more comfortable for me coming from a mountain biking background. I also wasn't going for a full roadie experience and didn't want to feel judged riding slow and having bags on my bike. This bike looks natural with bags on it. Yes, the Cues group-set, not the highest end thing I know, but it's really all I need for commuting and exploring. The 1x feels familiar to me and it has shifted well for the 15km ride back from the dealer.
