I live in sunny Australia, I've debated getting a cycling brim for a while now and finally thought I'd give it a crack.

It's great! Keeps the hot sun off the back of the head and neck while keeping me nice and cool. I thought it might create some airflow problems but nahh, its all good:)

The big positive is that I am now not blinding myself with sweat and sunscreen drizzling into my eyes. I big relief in my climate.

Neat little thing:)

  1. First thought; “Bwah haha, that’s stupid!” Quickly followed by “I want one!”👍

  2. I wear one on my yearly 150 mile Bike MS. Most other rides are on trails with some shade.

  3. I got a cheap one meant for construction helmets and reinforced it to not fold in the wind. It looks dumb but it is effective.

As someone that also lives in sunny Australia, I love the idea, but I don’t think I could pull it off.

Then I look at the Blue Lug instagram and they kinda make them look cool.

  5. I have one and it’s great. Even when crossing a desert I at least had a little bit of shade for my face and neck.

I think I look a little silly, but I’m really glad I have it with me

  6. As a younger (roadie spandex) man I would have scoffed heartily at this. As a 40yo man I say hell fuckin yeah ain’t gonna get me sun

  7. I have one for my hardhat at work. It makes a huge difference.

They look a little goofy, but not as goofy as getting bits of skin cancer chopped out later.

    Plus, extra space for stickers.
