I'm looking at the canyon Spectral:ON CF 7 but I don't care to get a carbon bike. I'm too worried it'll break it or get a crack in it. So if there's a aluminum option on par with the canyon I'd love to hear what they are. I have yet to own a carbon bike but see videos of people that have cracked them and aluminum frames tend to be much cheaper do big plus there. The canyon is currently selling for $3999 right now in the carbon frame.
Canyon does offer a 6 year warranty but I doubt it covers operator error damages.

Any hit that would ruin a carbon frame would also probably wreck an aluminum one. And the carbon frame is usually repairable, whereas the aluminum one goes in the recycling bin.
Buy it, it’s a phenomenal bike. I bought an amflow and while the motor is amazing, I’d rather ride my spectral tbh.
I have this bike, it has survived a few crashes already
Get to bed grandpa. You aren’t breaking carbon any easier than aluminum nowadays.
Do you huck big drops and crash often? If not…nothing to worry about. I’ve been riding carbon bikes for 10+ years. I crash more than I’d like. Haven’t broken one yet.
My concern on that bike is the Shimano motor. It’s fine, but sort of old technology. I’d rather get a Bosch or better yet Avinox to future proof the bike a bit more.
Damn!! You trying to gap the grand canyon or something? Keep in mind that the internet is biased and will very rarely show you a video of everything going right and nothing of interest happening
Look at what happened with canyons ebike fiasco, hard no.
Went off a cliff on my carbon bike, bike flew 15’, zero cracks in the carbon lol
