8:15 Much of Mathieu's Inflite is standard, but not the chainring combination, because 46-36 ord 46-39 is still not officially available from Shimano for the Dura Ace group.
The Trek Boone is not a favorite of mine. Don't like the front suspension which lowers the precision around tight corners and the rear suspension really makes the construction susceptible to breaking. I've broken the seat post and seen several others have their seat posts broken when not being nimble enough on a harsh course.
Best bike I've raced is the Canyon Inflite.
What handlebar witdh do they use?
that Trek might be the best looking paint scheme they've had in a very long time.

Really enjoyed that Dan. Even in this brimming with tech info world it's still hard to get a good summary of the latest 'cross tech at races unless you go there and wanter around the team buses. I was lucky enough to be able to do that at the start or the Kerstperiode and it's ace (and very accessible) to wonder about looking at the nuance and mods. Thanks for recording.
If the modern day mantra about lower tire pressures being actually faster holds true, Felipe Ort with his 1,5PSI should be considered a heavy favorite in every race 😀

Love seeing some top tier cross bikes!!! They all look so sick!
It's very interesting how so many of them are running 2x chainrings. In the US, especially on the amateur level, it's almost exclusively 1x.
Also interesting to see road bikes and gravel bikes being used in UCI cross. Dedicated cross bikes are becoming very scarce.

You could've visted the Heizomat team (6th in the elite men's race)… they run tubeless at as low as 0.8 bar without any problems. They're Schwalbe sponsored, though, not running Dugast or Challenge.
Why do cyclocross bikes have bottle cage fittings?
