Finally bought myself a somewhat decent fork for my Hardtail-Gravel monstrum. The Recon Silver RL 29“ Solo Air definitely looks the part. I took it for a short spin and I must say, that it makes a surprising difference. Lockout is great and the suspension is much smoother than I could have hoped for.

How much does that machine weigh?
That bike has an identity crisis. Aero bars and enough suspension travel for a downhill rig. Throw in a Brooks leather saddle, and you’ve got one confused bike.
What’s the frame? I love the look of hardtails with steep top tubes and small front triangles… anything that looks like a dirt jumper made for 27,5 or 29 wins me over readily.
I agree with others that the combo of a heavy hardtail with a fair bit of travel and aero bars is sort of all wrong but I would WAY rather have your bike than all the 90’s steel bikes with v brakes and pizza racks and the best 26” tires going 😉
