Keith Knowles: A Ride For Leukaemia

In my youth, my bicycle was my freedom. Gred LeMond was my hero. I wanted to be just like him, racing up and down the mountains of France, winning the Tour de France with a big grin on my face. Life dealt me a different hand of cards—one I wouldn’t trade—ever. Now I get to go back to that childhood dream to ride the 2024 Tour de France one week ahead of the race. The pre-race is to raise money for the nonprofit Cure Leukaemia, which has every team rider raising money to combat the deadly blood cancer. I and my family have lost friends that should not have died, and with the money raised from the race, Cure Leukaemia can continue their fight in defeating Leukemia.
