Maybe I missed the mention but Spezial and Fässla are directly across the street from each other. Spezial is more modern and less busy while Fässla is quite often overflowing.
Putting them away in the name of research is a very admirable purpose 😂😂😂

I've lived in Bamberg for 25 years. Only places I still go to are Keesmann and Fässla. The rest has become far too touristy, especially Mahr's. Some even do not accept reservations of locals who want to play cards anymore as that would mean that locals occupy a table for 3-4 hours whereas they could have three tourist groups in the same amount of time 😢 The real hangouts of the locals are in different places but I won't tell you where these are 😅

ugh, sorry for another "uhm actually" comment. We are not in the heart of Bavaria, as a matter of fact ,we dont even consider ourselves bavarian, but rather franconian. the heart of Bavaria is munich

You did a real good job with your vid. I walked the 12 Brauerei tour with my Brother in law (Wolfgang) a few years ago. I barely made it, dang German beer is STRONG. (Married Wolf’s sister at the Church next to Mahrs Brau in 84‘:)

To me, Rauchbier is a bit like peated Whisky. I've never been able to drink more than one.😉 The rest of Bamberg's beers, on the other hand, are unsurpassed!
