As most of you are aware the Magene Pes505 PM crankset has one major technical problem: The crank bolt loves to unscrew itself even when the installment procedure has been done correctly and to the stated in instruction NM.
In my case after the 20th need for retightening in the timespan of one season the bolt threads finally gave up and stripped.Magene twice decided to blame me for the installation procedure and didn't cover it under warranty.
It's a shame because this budget power meter works reasonably well and accurately but I won't ever buy anything from them if I'm left to pound sand and pay myself for the obvious design flaw.
The post serves as a warning to everyone considering Magene products. If they work everything is fine, when they stop you will be left without support.

They won’t send you a new bolt?
Can the power meter be fitted to another crankset? It’s one thing I always wondered about this power meter. I like it but I don’t like the crankset.
