Well, if you’re just going to ride solo, not worrying about going as fast as possible: do a test ride, and if it rides good you can consider buying it.
If you’re going to ride in a fanatic group, pushing yourself and the bike to the limit, want to go as fast as possible: get a more modern bike.

Idk mate it depends on what’s out there really but mostly your budget is the largest determining variable innit? If you’re getting into the sport mate and trying to convince yourself you’ll like it, starting here might be a bad bet. It’s like getting to cars mate, and you’ve no experience as an auto mech, you wouldn’t start with a rundown Peugeot
