I found a 2022 Specialized Chisel in the dumpster.

I saw a wheel sticking up out of the dumpster, investigated further and damn, what a find. Flat tire, super grimy, but otherwise in solid shape. It appears that it had been sitting on someone’s porch for a couple of years, I had to use a car wash to get it clean.

I checked three bike registries, no owner listed. Tried to locate the bike store named on the frame sticker, none to be found, at least that sell Specialized. I tried to do my due diligence, but also, dirty as hell with an indented flat tire (from sitting on it forever) isn’t the normal MO of a stolen bike.

Helluva find. Some cleaning, a new tube, lubed the chain, and I was on trails today. Never will I ever be lucky like this again.
