Larkstoke is the highest road in Warwickshire & a serious challenge for any road cyclist to climb up. Its a steep hill at 15% & I had the joy of a headwind up it.

But I purposely decided to tackle it with a headwind as part of my training for Bamford Clough and Ffordd Pen Lech at the end of this month. Challenges which worry me with how tough they’ll be.

After Larkstoke I also tackled Dover’s Hill and Saintbury Hill. 2 Challenging climbs in The Cotswolds.

3 climbs which were part of a 73 mile / 117 km route. Testing my endurance, which I need to improve for October when I’m looking to do my first ever bike packing trip.

  1. 3 great climbs round this area. I’m just down the road in Stratford.
Maybe have a look at the CFC bakers dozen which is 13 climbs back to back including these 3 finishing in winchcombe
