Shortly after waking up this morning, something told me to check FB marketplace. And that's when I saw it:
A 1991 Specialized Rockhopper Comp, in what appears to be completely original condition.
From the saddle, to the grips, to the bar ends, and even the Specialized speedometer computer, everything seems original to this bike.
The guy I bought it from got it from his neighbor, who apparently rarely ever rode the bike. And now it's mine, and you better believe it's going to be ridden!
