This is my bike, (Mongoose, Limestone 26’). And the v brakes are starting to loose power, i’ve tightened them a few times but it doesn’t help, and i want to just upgrade to disc brakes. If you look closely you’ll notice that the bike has built in mounts for disc brake calipers. But i’m not an expert in this stuff so i don’t really know what i all need. Any help appreciated.

It doesn’t look like the fork or frame has the mounts for disks. Time for a new bike! Check out the Ozark Trail FS2. It’s a budget friendly, really capable bike.
