Been working on this build for a bit. A lot of compromises were made but I think this is going to be a sweet ride. After seeing the grips my gf has decided it needs more color, so it will probably get some purple grips sometime in the future.
Parts removed from a donor bike still need to get cleaned, but we are doing that during the build this weekend.
Still undecided on the handlebars. We will try the pit bike bars first, after a little trim…
Only addition is going to be an externally routed dropper, because I’m too lazy to drill it out.

Can’t wait to see this built up. Only thing that may look a bit out of place are those Origin8 cranks.
Hope you can make the bars work. Definitely keep the stem. These color matched to fork Velocity stems are awesome and look great.

Personally I’d route the dropper just because it’s your own bike and aesthetically it’s a lot nicer but to each their own of course.
I have a longstanding desire for a Kona Unit. At some point I’m just going to facking build one 😉 hopwfully in a bronze/copper color like that.
