Blown damper, are parts still available for these? 2015 Fox 29 CTD evolution 100mm
The bike is a 2015 salsa el mariachi, I understand that can safely go up to 120mm of travel but that's not super important. If this fork is done or no longer viable price wise what is a good replacement under $400?
Thanks for any insight!

You can find 1-2year old used fox 36 performance elite in that price range for sure that will be a huge improvement over that fork. CTD dampers were kind of regarded as a failure. You can maybe find fit4 or rc 2 dampers that will fit what you have but with parts and labor it may still be 300ish so I would look for a newer used fork
Parts are likely still available but you may have to do some detective work. I’d reach out to any suspension service companies in your area and ask about a rebuild. It’ll likely be much cheaper than $400 and that fork probably still outperforms modern $400 forks.
These guys service/rebuild old Fox suspension. I had them rebuild a shock on my son’s old ’06 Heckler. Might be an option if you don’t want to try to find a replacement.

Have a similar Salsa myself and I ended up just putting on a rigid fork. Rockshox Recon Gold is what I originally had so that’s still an option for you.
There are other 100mm forks available but you probably need to be careful about the offset. There are a few forums where this is discussed. They’re easy to find on a search engine. You would probably want a 51 mm offset.
I believe your bike has a 44mm straight headtube. You’ll want to research to be sure, but I believe this means you can run a modern tapered fork with the addition of a new headset. Just something to keep in mind when looking for upgrades.
