  1. Hi don’t know what you are looking for here. Yes it looks like you are competent and have fun.

Looks like you’re having fun. If so, then good.
I would recommend some gloves for your inevitable first crash.

  3. You should definitely put the videos up on YouTube. You’ll have a million followers in no time. This is the kind of content we have been missing.

  4. Not bad at all. His cornering could use work, but he’s young, he’ll get there.

    Also, wear gloves. Trust me

Get up off your seat on turns and bumps. Level pedals, off the seat, elbows bent, weight distributed appropriately for slope/terrain. Also. It’s hard to tell, but it looks like your saddle may need to be raised. Put one pedal at the lowest position, put your heal on the pedal and your leg should only be slightly bent.

From experience get elbow and knee pads and don’t ride in shorts.

I had an accident a few months ago and thank God I had trousers on (no knee pads). If I don’t have trousers on the 3 in scar from ripping my knee open would have been hell of a lot worse!

MTBing is great fun but seriously I know it’s not ‘cool’ to wear pads and protection but it will save you from anything worse when you do crash

Looks like you’re riding well enough, try keep a bigger following distance so you don’t have to regulate your speed too much for the guy in front of you.

  8. First time? Looks good so far

I looks like your feet are standing to far back on the pedals like they are in the middle of your foot
Learn to stand with your forefoot on the pedal .

Why do you care if it’s good?

Yhe first step of being good at something is sucking at it? It’s your first time?

This is the crap that social media did. It made kids think they need to be good at things right off the bat. And that they need approval of others.

Did you have fun? That is literally all that matters.

Fine. 3 pointers that are obvious: Move around more. Don’t just sit back on the seat. Lead into turns by pointing the inside knee through the apex. Quit using multiple fingers to brake. 1 finger always. Pointer right at the end of the lever. Two or more finger braking is a really bad habit that you don’t want to start.
