(23m) For reference, I currently ride this beauty every day, everywhere. Stiff, fun, fast, pretty indestructible. But also pretty uncomfortable.
My goal is to build a bike that acts as my commuter and my bike packer.
I commute anywhere from 5 to 15 miles per day in LA. If you haven’t been and you don’t know, LA streets are AWFUL on the east side. Potholes, bumps, etc. My current setup is NOT built for this kind of riding
I love the look of off road hard tails. I dont have any cycling friends, so the amount of different geometry bikes I can test ride is very limited; so I dont actually know if building on a hard tail is a good idea for what I need (I want to give up as little speed as possible, while maximizing comfort on the “off road conditions” of LA)
I’ll put a couple reference pics for bikes I love aesthetically. Please give any and all tips!
