Hello Matty! Thank you for your video/review, the 600 is a great, practical commuter, but I wanted to ask you why removing the fenders? They are so useful, even if it doesn't rain as much where you are, they certainly protect not only the bike but your body as well. Thanks again! MC
Can you explain how to remove rear fender that has the dynamo wire?
Isn’t this bike like 3000 dollars though?
Looks very nice but I noticed a lot of heavy breathing throughout the video, does this bike take some force to pedal and maintain a good speed? Towards the end of the video it was rising a lot faster and smoother but in the beginning it seemed heavy and slow.
I just bought a random used bike for 200 euros, replaced the parts I don't like and it works perfectly, even on 100+km rides
man i'm so jealous! I live in Denver and my bike commute is an hour each way. I love my bike but only wish there was less maintenance. I just upgraded my tires to schwalbe marathons and use an inner tube sealant so I don't really deal with flats anymore. One day I hope to catch up to your level!
The only thing I disagree with is that the 600 is a slow bike. I rode mine on 2024 RAGBRAI and I was getting passed consistently by others. However, the pinion drive made the hills doable. I would not have been able to complete all seven days without the extremely low end of the pinion.
Fellow CO 600 commuter!
Looks really interesting, but that freewheel noise would drive me crazy. A no go for me, simply put.
Priority Bikes makes some amazing bikes I love them
The Problem with this bike: Its to expensive because of the pinion! A Commuter bike has to be cheap!
whats the average top speed on this? i like speed and reliability, so its either this, the Apollo gravel/Gemini smart shift gravel…
Forgot to mention the $2500 price tag. Might have to consider something like the L-train instead
Dude, you made that 600 look WAY cooler by removing the fenders! An amazing transition! I know fenders are practical, but NOW, I want that bike!
Wow, I'm really into vintage touring bikes, and steel frame 90s mountain bikes that work great as commuters. I also like titanium bikes. But>>> love the setup. Internal gears, dynamo hub for lights, and charging. I'm actually considering it 👍.
Is it chromoly steel frame ?
Thanks for review..
How easily can you hold 25mph on long flat straights

I have a kona dew. Very similar bike. Chain drive and cassette though which is fine. I change the chain myself twice a year and it’s perfect. I prefer being able to service my own bike without dealing with belt tensioning.
I wish priority would come to the UK. I'm jealous.
I would prefer the hub be perfectly silent. That would be the most sublime bike ride.
Ive been looking at a Priority Eight to replace a old tired Trek FX 7.2, as an option to a Trek FX3.
I'm curious about the belt and Alfine hub as opposed to a chain.
I'm a casual rider 5 mornings a week between 10-15 miles per ride.
Any thoughts? I know it's not the same bike here.
There's not a lot of stuff on Priority that isnt coming from Priority themselves.
wow. looks quite different without fenders
