  1. Surface rust is pretty much just cosmetic. Lube it and you’re good to go.

    It _may_ wear a little sooner but that’s about it. Check the wear regularly (as you should), clean and lube as needed and you’ll be fine

    Ridden worse… 😄 if you’ve got a spare chain, I’d probably change it out… but otherwise, should tie you over until a replacement arrives.

  3. As long as moves freely stretch is the only concern. Keep it lubed and most of that will wear off. Also, consider a lube more suited for your conditions. You likely need a more tenacious lube that is designed for wet conditions. It will attract more dirt and dust but should protect your chain and cogs from oxidation better.
