  1. Bought a new Cube Stereo 177 Actionteam for 5k a few months back….top top spec…Kashima fox everything, Sram electronic shifting (wouldn't normally go for that, but I like it) with the Strong T type derailleur! which was a must have for me…( I don't have much luck with derailleurs)
Bosch cx 5 system….800 Wh battery 😁 lovely don't have range anxiety now when I'm out. Oh and two things not so good 🙁 cable headset routing 👎 & a pretty naff weak plastic Bash Guard, held on with one fixing basically….I had to buy a ProTech alloy guard ( which sorted the problem) I did contact Cube with my feedback on this point.
Anyway it's still a cracking emtb for this price and yes 5k is a LOT of money still for an emtb.

  2. No mention of haibike allmtn 6 ? Bosch gen5 motor , 800wh battery , 12 speed Shimano drivetrain , a branded wheelset , low end 4 pot Shimano brakes that'll get you by till you upgrade or dig something better out the parts bin and they can be had for 3400 in the UK ? Yeah they aren't light and the suspension is no frills but it's also a long way off 5 grand while still having 100nm upgrade potential 😂

  3. This is gatekeeping nonsense. Do they want to play a role in growing the popularity of e-bikes or do they just want to jabber on about geometry and groupsets?

Setting £5k as the threshold for cheapest e-bike is ludicrous. To 99% of people in the market for one, that is extraordinarily expensive.

  4. I just bought the Canyon: Grand Canyon AL 8 ON with an 800wh battery and Bosch CX gen 5 for £2603 delivered. It's a hardtail, and it's the perfect amount of bike for what I need. I thought that was a good deal!

  5. Cyrusher flex has interesting features. A switchable candence/torque sensors with a 95nm hub motor. Shame the customer service is probably non existent being a cheap Chinese manufacturer.

  6. I have a 2023 Scott Ransom E-ride. 180mm travel front and rear. Bosch CX gen4 motor. Rockshox Zeb fork, fox float x2 rear shock. SLX brakes, XT deore derailleur. Ally frame. Love it. Cost me AU$5999 brand new. (obviously 3yrs old)

  7. i think its total BS that bikes cost as much as they do. i would rather buy a car! 5k for a bike is just totally nuts i struggle to think about paying 1k for a bike

  8. I have that Rockrider 520s shown at 3:42. Cost me £2500 in February this year and for a full suspension EMTB I think it punches well above its weight. It certainly outpaces my own skills, and has survived a couple of offs with absolutely zero damage.
I also really rate the bike guys at Decathlon, especially the Milton Keynes store where I got it. The guy there was a real MTB enthusiast, certainly had some choice opinions about road riders, lol. He was brilliant when I bought it and did a banging 3 month service on it too (included in the price).

  9. Currently riding a Haibike AllMTN – Yamaha PWX3 motor with 720w battery, 160mm Rockshox front and rear, 4 pot Shimanos, continental tyres.

It cost £2950 a few months ago. Totally underrated bike, its an absolute blast to ride and the Yamaha motor has been fantastic.

I sold my motorbike for it – no regrets at all, much more thrills per mile!

  10. My ebike was $2600 in December 2021, it’s now $3999. Exactly the same parts.
Because I know the bullshite price hikes for companies that basically build bikes from globally available parts and quality now needs to match china’s sets a new standard and just shows how overpriced these bikes are……

  11. A developing health issue has started me looking at an alternative to ‘muscle power’ full suspension highish end MTB, £5k is a lot of money, an eMTB is tempting but so is a Enfield Himalayan motorcycle for similar cost and probably easier to sell used. Depreciation on eMTBs is a bit of an unknown.

  12. 2 or 3 years ago I got the Bulls Copper Head.
$3,000 delivered! I’m now going 1,3++ miles and the only thing that has been changed is rear tire and motor decal.

It has the Bosch performance CX with big ass battery, sorry don’t remember the size but is the biggest Bosch makes.

I actually raced it in the first ever EMTB race in NJ, USA 😎 came in last bc I was an idiot 😆

I would say %20 of those miles has been HARD downhill, it’s an absolute beast.

My only complaint is the weight, it’s heavy coming in at 60lbs

One of the best value for the price purchase in my life.

I think I should at least change the chain this week 🤦🏻‍♂️

  13. E-bikes are so overpriced.

You can buy a car for 2k-6k.

    It’s crazy…
And a bike it’s just a motor with batteries the rest is just normal, suspensions breaks etc…

Difference are just some specs by motor and batteries, hydraulic breaks…

    Made for really MTB hobbyists..

  14. 5000£ is super expensive and 2000£?in my country means 17000lei so, a normal person have 5000lei salary per month, so is extremely expensive. I saw a lot of asisted e bikes that are around 700-1000£, that really means cheap and good
