So! Hello people. I currently live in Münster and ride around 8km everyday. But this summer I would like to commit to doing longer trips, the only thing is my girlfriend is a professional rider, my absolute maximum is 100km. So I'd like to have something more like a hybrid bike, these that the battery charges itself as you pedal (that exists right?). And hopefully a light one. I don't know if €1500 is enough for that plan. Or maybe you could recommend me brands so I can get it second hand.

Please be kind. Thank you!

Charging the battery while freewheeling/braking is only possible with hub motors, as those do not have a freewheeling ratchet between the wheel and motor, all mid-drives have freewheeling.
